Rotor

Inspired by the rotary engine used in past Mazda sports cars, Rotor is a brooch made from copper, nu-gold, and sterling silver. Made from five layers of metal riveted together, each layer a different material and texture, the brooch takes on the form of the cross section of the rotary engine. The textures were applied using chemical etching, hammering, and cutting.
