Railroad Club Point of Sale
A mobile point of sale for a local model railroad club. This fixture had several design necessities; it needed to house the computer and cash box, display model trains that were available to purchase, and also be mobile in case the train club wished to take it to shows and conventions.
Designed for Fun
The final design embraces the joy of creativity and play that adults crave when building model train layouts. The design is reminiscent of a table top, with cutouts in the shape of train track that house display boxes for several models, evoking those fond childhood memories of playing with toys under the table.
Concept Renderings
The original concept had exposed shelves on the face for displaying model trains. However, the customer insisted that the models be kept behind glass for their protection, so the final design inverted the train track design element; instead of the design being a curved external shelf, it is a window into the display case.
